For ensuring security of supply Purchasing personnel act as the interface between various specialist departments - including Product Management, Quality Management and Production - and our suppliers. In addition, Purchasing has central cost responsibility for all goods and services procured.
Purchasing is divided into two areas:
- Strategic purchasing
- Strategic project purchasing
Purchasing tasks are wide-ranging and include development and implementation of the purchasing and supply strategy; introduction of new purchased parts; procurement of capital goods. In each case the aim is to ensure an optimal supply of parts.
