Rosenberger H-MTD®, H-MTD®e 0.35 mm2 and H-MTD®+ are future-proof differential connector systems up to 20 GHz for high-speed data transmission of up to 56 Gbps, contained in a compact yet robust automotive grade housing. Apart from ensuring high-bitrate data transmission, savings on installation space and weight, a further major advantage of this connector system is its modularity, providing the flexibility to support a wide range of Ethernet applications and industry protocols.

The application field of the Rosenberger H-MTD® is countless as it can be used with a variety of different cables including Shielded Twisted Pair, Unshielded Twisted Pair and new High-Performance cables. With H-MTD® the customer can count on an interface that accommodates future vehicle networks, applications and protocols.

High-end connector designed for high data rates up to 56 Gbps for future vehicle generations, reducing the design risks and costs of upcoming high-speed applications. The OPEN Alliance standard avoids single sourcing and improves supply chain security. Shielded H-MTD® connectors provide high system robustness, stable data transmission, and outstanding EMC performance.

The modular housing system enables multiple ports within a compact footprint and a high packing density, reducing installation space requirements in the vehicle while delivering material and weight savings.

H-MTD®e 0.35mm Ethernet Types for Unshielded Cables

Compact and cost-effective H-MTD®e Automotive Ethernet connectors for data rates of up to 1 Gbps, compliant with the 100BASE-T1 and 1000BASE-T1 standards. Pre-assembled twisted-pair cables with a 0.35 mm² cable cross-section are available for straightforward Ethernet-focused applications, including waterproof versions.

Cost-efficient because all required components—from upper and lower shells to housings, contacts, seals, and end caps, as well as assembly tooling—are already available within the standard product portfolio.

H-MTD®+ Powerpin

Feature CPA

Connector Position Assurance prevents Unintentional Disengagement

High-speed data connectors are increasingly required in safety applications such as autonomous driving and driver assistance systems. In response, Rosenberger has developed an optional CPA (Connector Position Assurance) solution which improves connection reliability.
The CPA cannot be activated if the connector has not been completely mated. When aligned correctly the CPA can be closed.
