As the automotive industry transitions from 400 V to 800 V architectures, even higher voltage levels of up to 1000 V and 1200 V are already emerging. Rosenberger is engineering ahead of this evolution: the HVR®210 is designed for 1200 V, providing maximum future readiness and making it the ideal solution for next-generation high-voltage platforms in electric vehicles.

The shift from 400 V to 800 V, or even higher, vehicle architectures is redefining the requirements for high-voltage interconnect systems. Because higher voltages enable the same power to be transmitted at lower currents, conductor cross-sections can be reduced, allowing aluminum conductors to become a cost-effective alternative. The HVR®210 was specifically developed to address these requirements, bridging the gap between the demands of modern 800 V electrical architectures and a compact, cost- and space-optimized connector solution.

The HVR®210 is ideally suited for applications, e.g. battery, power distribution unit (PDU), inverter, and eAxle of electric vehicles.

With its optimized cable cross-section range of up to 50 mm² for unshielded cables and up to 35 mm² for shielded cables, the HVR®210 supports both copper and aluminum. This enables a cost- and space-optimized high-voltage system design.
