The Single Pair Ethernet System Alliance e.V. and the SPE Industrial Partner Network e.V. have joined forces to form the new Single Pair Ethernet Association. Rosenberger strongly welcomes this milestone.
As a manufacturer of Single Pair Ethernet connectivity solutions and a founding member of the Single Pair Ethernet System Alliance, Rosenberger supports the consolidation and activities to further strengthen the global SPE ecosystem and accelerate the adoption of Single Pair Ethernet in industrial applications worldwide.
The merger marks an important step toward harmonizing the previously different SPE interfaces. With the PNO-initiated IEC 63171-7 ED2 standard defining a universal mating interface and the industry aligning around this specification, users, device manufacturers, and system integrators benefit from greater clarity and interoperability. This increased planning certainly provides an important foundation for the broader adoption of Single Pair Ethernet.
Rosenberger has actively supported the standardization of SPE interfaces for many years. The agreement on an industry-wide standard and the unification of the two organizations represent significant milestones toward a strong, globally aligned Single Pair Ethernet ecosystem.
