Rosenberger is placing a stronger focus on the development and production of modular connectors for the automotive industry. As a full-service provider, Rosenberger offers solutions for data transmission, power delivery in electric mobility, and cable assembly.

In the data segment, the emphasis is on reducing the complexity of data connections in modern vehicles and supporting the transition to zonal architectures. This approach replaces the traditional model of up to 100 control units with complex wiring harnesses and networks with simplified zonal strategies. These strategies feature central computers acting as backbones and local zones, such as front/rear or left/right sections. To achieve this, Rosenberger offers advanced connector solutions that enable high data rates and high reliability.

In the new central hubs with high power density, modular connectors are used. These connectors combine traditional coaxial and differential connectors for high data rates—required for applications like cameras or infotainment displays—with low-voltage pins in a single unit. This leads to a more efficient and less error-prone network within the vehicle.
