For example, taking existing models and solutions and optimizing and adapting them to meet new requirements.

For the creation of 3D data models you learn how to use so-called CAD systems. You then prepare your designs for various purposes for example by creating sectional views and detail work. You select materials, standard parts as well as manufacturing and assembly techniques.

You will also learn to take cost, technical and design requirements into account. Your area of responsibility also includes the preparation of the corresponding technical documentation.

You should have at least a secondary school leaving certificate or (technical) university entrance qualification
