Tussock Sedge Farm is located on State Route 113 near the village of Blooming Glen in Upper Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The farm has been run by Henry and Charlotte Rosenberger since 1990. A few facts about the farm are:

  • The farm consists of 450 acres in multiple tracts that surround the village of Blooming Glen. In 2001, we preserved more than half of the farm (284 acres) permanently as open space in the Bucks County Farmland Preservation Program. We have applied to protect an additional 120 acres.

  • Red Angus calving and beef operation is our primary farming focus.

  • Wildlife around the farm includes deer, fox, coyote, blue heron, bluebirds, doves, many migratory waterfowl and songbirds, wild turkey, red-tail hawks, and many more.

  • Conservation methods include rotational grazing paddocks, field terracing, and storm retention dams to reduce stream flooding.

Some areas of the farm are maintained in a wilder, natural state. These areas include forest, stream, and marsh ecosystems, including 26 acres designated in 2005 for wildlife and wetland restoration.
